Lijobi Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the Lijobi website or contact us through it. By using the website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

The website is run by Lijobi Ltd (company code and TIN 156876020), a company registered in Rwanda, with its office at Room 203, Triumph House, KG 11 Avenue 81, Kimironko, Gasabo District, Kigali, Rwanda. In these terms, "Lijobi", "we" and "us" mean Lijobi Ltd.
Lijobi helps people outside and inside Rwanda find, rent, buy and invest in property in Rwanda. We present listings, arrange viewings including virtual viewings, and connect clients with property owners, developers and partner brokers.
You may use the website to look for property, learn about our services and contact us. When you use it, you agree not to:

Many of our listings come from property owners, developers and partner brokers. We work to present them accurately, but we cannot promise that every detail is complete or current.
A listing is not an offer to sell or rent. No agreement exists until you and the owner or developer sign a written contract.
Some listings show labels such as "Identity confirmed", "Ownership documents reviewed", "Developer verified", "Property inspected", "Availability recently confirmed" or "Virtual viewing available". Each label means only that Lijobi has completed that specific check, on the date we did it.
Our labels are not a guarantee, a legal title search, a survey or a valuation. They do not replace your own checks. Before you pay any money or sign anything, you are responsible for confirming title, permits, the condition of the property and the terms of any contract, ideally with an independent lawyer or notary in Rwanda.
Browsing the website and making an inquiry are free. If you ask us to help you rent, buy, invest or relocate, or to market your property, we will agree the scope and any fees with you in writing before we start. That written agreement will apply alongside these terms.
Lijobi is not a law firm, bank, financial adviser or tax adviser. Information on the website about the market, the buying process, residency or investment is general information only. Please get professional advice for your own situation before making a decision.
We never ask you to send deposits or payments to a personal account. If anyone claiming to be from Lijobi asks you to do this, contact us on +250 799 900 344 before you pay.

If you are an owner, developer or agent and you submit a property to Lijobi, you confirm that:
We decide which properties to publish. We may ask for documents, inspect the property, or decline or remove a listing at any time.
You allow Lijobi to use the content you send, and any photographs or videos we take of your property, to market it on our website, social media and marketing materials. We may add the Lijobi name or watermark to our photographs and videos.
The Lijobi name, logo, website design, text, photographs and videos belong to Lijobi Ltd or the people who licensed them to us. You may view and share links to our pages for personal use, but you may not copy or reuse our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
The website may link to other websites and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.
We will provide the website with reasonable care and skill. However, as far as the law allows:
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Rwandan law.

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its effective date. If you keep using the website after a change, the updated terms apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. If a dispute arises, we will first try to resolve it with you directly. If we cannot, the courts of Rwanda will decide it.
